UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

The United Methodist Women will be meeting on Wednesday, December 5^th at 10 AM in the church social hall.  All women are encouraged to attend.  Please bring a sandwich and your Christmas Spirit and enjoy the fellowship!

YOU ARE INVITED

You are invited to attend the Carlo Curley Gala Christmas Concert at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Allison Park on Friday, December 7^th at 7:30 PM.   Carlo Curley is a flamboyant and popular American concert organist living in England sometimes characterized as the “Pavarotti of the organ” and has made many appearances for the BBC, including organ spectaculars from the Cathedrals at Ely, Lichfield, Norwich, Guilford and Gloucester.  He has played before numerous crowned head of Europe and has toured widely throughout North America.  Carlo was famously the first classical organist to give a solo organ recital at the White House.  Mark your calendar and plan on attending this festive event!

ALL CHURCH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY

Next Sunday, December 9^th there will be one church service at 10 AM and a potluck dinner will follow.  Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish to share.  A special visitor from the North Pole will be visiting all the children, both young and old after the lunch.

ANGEL TREE

Anyone who has taken a name from the Angel Tree is asked to bring their gifts and place them in the box by the church office.  All presents need to be returned to the church by December 9^th.  If you have any questions please call Barb Adams at 724-344-3973.

WE NEED YOU!

We are in need of persons with musical or technical gifts to help with New Day Worship.  If you would like to serve God and the church in this important way, please speak to Pastor Keith or Rodney Cregut.

ACOLYTES NEEDED

Anyone interested in serving as an acolyte should contact Tracy Collar-Mirich as soon as possible!

NOTHING BUT NETS

The United Nations has requested the United Methodist Church to intervene on the continent of Africa to check the spread of Malaria, a disease which claims the lives of countless children each year.  The NBA has joined the effort; together we have launched Nothing but Nets.  A $10.00 mosquito net over a child’s bed can save her or his life!  Watch for ways that you can help!

FOR FREE PAPER

The church is collecting used ink cartridges.  The church then turns the cartridges in for free paper.  If anyone would like to donate a used ink cartridge, please place it on the table next to  the church office.  Thank you!  

NEWSLETTER DEADLINE INFORMATION

The Newsletter Deadline is the 15th of each month.  Please be prompt with your information.  NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE MADE TO OBTAIN NEWSLETTER INFORMATION!!!.  The Newsletter must be mailed one week before the end of the month in order for everyone to receive a copy before the events become outdated. 

GET THE NEWS AND SHARE IT WITH THE PUBLIC

Barb Adams coordinates our relationship with the local newspaper’s community news section.  If your group has information that needs to be made public, please share it with Barb at least two weeks in advance.  Barb Adams

Please bring canned goods every Sunday to donate to the city food bank.

Save your Campbell’s soup can labels for missions!  Place them in the basket in the narthex on the main level.
